Uncovering Stories, One Connection at a Time
Welcome!
I am so excited to finally flip the switch on our new website. For the past 25 years, I have been jotting down notes of what I hoped someday would become the narrative of some of the most amazing stories. Now that I have officially retired from the corporate world (you know, that gig that paid the bills), I can begin to follow my dream of helping people solve their mysteries and putting together the pieces of their puzzle we call life.
Beyond the TV Reunions
When people hear about finding lost families and reunions, they may think of one of those shows that have been popular on TV the past few years. Where the person helping with the search gets an unlimited budget and resources and flies all over the country to interview and meet the parties involved. Then everybody gathers in a beautiful location where, after a few commercials, we get to see the tearful reunion. And it all happens right in front of us in less than 60 minutes!
I would never downplay those beautiful stories. I never miss an episode, with tissues in hand. But these are only a few of the thousands of cases solved every year. Whether it is reuniting adopted children with siblings and birth parents or finding family and friends that want to reconnect, Volunteer Search Angels work thousands and thousands of hours and with no fanfare when solving these cases. No lights, no cameras, and no music, but still a story to be told.

A connection 48 years in the making
It never ceases to amaze me—tears, cheers, and goosebumps. Whether I’m watching a heartfelt reunion on YouTube or navigating a successful search of my own, the emotions remain powerful. After 48 years and just 4 days of research, a birthmother will go to bed tonight knowing where her daughters sleep and that they are safe.

A reSearch Angel Roadtrip
After retiring from my corporate career, one of my dreams was to engage more actively in my assignments and see each case through to its conclusion. However, without a travel budget such opportunities were rare, particularly unless a case unfolded within my home state of Florida. Last week, I caught one of those lucky breaks:

No lights, No cameras, and No music… but still a story to be told
When most people think of finding lost families and reunions, they often picture the popular TV series that have aired in recent years. In these shows, the searcher enjoys an unlimited budget, traveling across the country to meet and interview everyone involved. The culmination is a heartfelt reunion in a stunning location, complete with emotional

A bittersweet conclusion
Today, I completed another successful search, successfully identifying and locating both the maternal and paternal sides of an adoptee’s family. What made this case particularly special was that I personally knew the adoptee, adding an exciting layer to the experience. Most cases aren’t quite as intense as this one, and I must admit that by
